Rescuers braved shooting flames, falling debris and the threat of more explosions to save nursing home residents after a blast at a Pennsylvania facility killed a resident and employee, and set off a dramatic and chaotic evacuation.

Muthoni Nduthu, 52, a mother of three and a certified nursing assistant, was found dead inside Silver Lake Nursing Home, also know as Bristol Health & Rehab Center on Dec. 23. Winik could not say where she was found or what she was doing before the blast.
