Yesterday 1300KOALAZ were called to a koala hanging on to a power line. Sam, as he is now known after being named after one of his rescuers, had climbed a stobby pole and was on the powerline for 2 hours, at one point hanging by one arm. A call to SA Power Networks and Jarrod and Sam arrived with the right vehicle to help get Sam down. He was ushered back to the pole and down, when low enough our rescuers took over and retrieved him. You can’t park here mate! Two of our lineys Brad and Cody earned a new KOALAfication back in February when they rescued this little guy on Kangaroo Island. The determined koala wasn’t too keen on leaving his POLE position, but with some gentle encouragement he made it back down safely. We’re happy to report only eucalyptus leaves, no parking fines, were issued after he was moved along 🐨🍃 | SA Power Networks
