This is the biggest softshell turtle we have admitted in 2025, weighing in at just over 22lbs! She was found along I-75 with some wounds and abrasions along her carapace (upper shell) and plastron (lower shell), so we suspect she was hit by a car. Luckily, this turtle has no fractures of the limbs or shell, which are common in victims of car strikes.
