As part of the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting Course, students fire a qualification. The third level of that Qualification is Level 3 (Blue). Firing level three requires the shooter to fire four, 5-shot groups from a standing position with the target 20 feet from the shooter. If the shooter/student completes this level, the instructor may (at their discretion and based on time available) provide the student the opportunity to fire Level 4 (Instructor level).
