Did you know? During the 1932 election, Franklin D. Roosevelt broke with tradition and flew to the Democratic National Convention to accept the party’s nomination in person. FDR hopped a plane to Chicago in order to prove he had the strength and energy to run the country, despite being paralyzed by polio.
