Teaching strong recall words and control cues is very important if you want to have a dog who can have some freedom. My dogs are very good about this. I’ve worked to teach them to listen quickly and eagerly. You can see they aren’t listening because of a reward or bribery. They aren’t looking for treats or ball reward.
