Mount Etna, one of the world’s most active volcanoes, has erupted sending a massive plume of smoke and ash into the air and causing panic among nearby tourists. According to Italy’s National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV), the volcano is experiencing strong and almost continuous Strombolian eruptions.
