People over complicate getting customers: 1) Solve a real problem well 2) Do it for free in exchange for contact information 3) Follow up and ask if they want your help solving the next problem in exchange for money. Pro tip: ask if they have time to [get fit, clean their house, fix their roof, take car to the shop, etc] then ask if you can do it for them in exchange for money. Bingo bango. Cha-chingo chango.
