Marshal Ney’s cavalry charge at the Battle of Waterloo, as depicted in the 1970 epic ‘Waterloo’ directed by Sergei Bondarchuk. Ney is portrayed by Irish actor Dan O'Herlihy, whose background included roles at the Abbey Theatre (the National Theatre of Ireland) and with Orson Welles and Luis Buñuel.
