🌊 Just did the Polar Plunge at the Lakes in Tempe this morning, and wow, it was actually warm compared to the real deal! Back in the Navy, stationed at Great Lakes, Illinois, I plunged into Lake Michigan, then walked back to the barracks in basketball shorts that literally froze into ice on my legs. 😅 Today? Tempe Town Lake is an iconic Tempe city attraction! It’s renown for being one of the best spots in town to watch the sunset from, but there’s actually a ton of adventures to be had here at anytime. 🥳 We definitely recommend renting some sort of watercraft to get out ion the water. You can hire a kayak, stand-up paddle board, pedal boat or donut boat. If you prefer a land adventure instead, we suggest renting either an electric bike, trail or road bike, or electric scooters to explore the lake.
