There’s definitely a process to achieving a good image transfer on encaustic. But if you’re worried about messing up, you can always create a vintage vibe by rubbing off more of the finished image, like I did here. It results in a worn retro look which you can then apply inks to tone it down, if you like that type of result. Now, I did end up doing the coloured squiggles version too!
