This is my most-used group counseling/group therapy activity. I use it anytime clients are struggling to communicate their needs without shutting down or getting aggressive. Using a simple visual and the DEAR MAN DBT skill, clients practice assertive communication, boundaries, and self-advocacy in real time, with group feedback and support. This works especially well for social-emotional learning, group counseling, DBT skills groups, and school counseling when communication keeps coming up. Save
