Secret to long stems on pansies are three fold. 1. Variety. Doesn’t have to be Japanese pansies (although if you can find some, they’re incredible!), but it won’t be anything you find at a common nursery. Some of my favorite longer stem varieties are: frizzle-sizzle series, ballerina mix, sweet pea mix, Chianti mix, and nature antique 2. Spacing. Plant them close together. 2 inches apart is pretty ideal. This forces the stems up, not out. If you can plant someplace that gets a couple hours of sh
