Queen Mary’s Delhi Durbar Tiara, 1911. Made by appointed Crown Jeweller, Garrard, the tiara is composed of diamonds, platinum and gold. It was created as the centrepiece of Mary's emerald and diamond parure for the Delhi Durbar, which included a necklace, a stomacher, a brooch and earrings. The stones were largely drawn from an existing necklace in Mary's possession. The emeralds which originally adorned the upper tier of the tiara were later removed and Mary traditionally wore the piece without
