There are so many drills for the loop jump to stop the upper body from over rotating on the take off. The main issue skaters have is that the hips and shoulders do not initiate the movement together. Taking the arm swing out of the picture, helps create awareness where the movement should be coming from. Then adding the arms back will guide the jump much better.
